When cloning, ensure the target disk capacity is higher than the source disk. The process involves inserting both drives, pressing the clone button for about 3 seconds until the LED lights up, then pressing it again to start cloning. Progress is indicated by LED status at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% completion.
